How the silent auction works
You see the item, you offer your price, other buyers do not see it.
The seller launches the silent auction
An approved seller publishes their item with a starting price and a duration. Everyone sees the auction, but bids stay hidden.
You place your best bid
Offer the maximum price you are willing to pay. You can raise it as long as the sale has not ended, but you will not see where other buyers stand.
Bids stay hidden
Amounts are not visible to other buyers or to the public during the auction.
The best bid wins the lot
When the countdown ends, the highest bid wins. Payment is due within 4 days (in a live, payment is automatic), then the parcel is tracked until delivery.

If your bid is the highest when the countdown ends, you win the item and must pay within 4 days. After that, the item is put back on sale and a strike is added to your account.What are the fees in a silent auction?
