TCG marketplace comparison 2026: Whatnot, Voggt, eBay, Vinted, Cardmarket, Blisterr
By Blisterr Team
Buying or selling trading cards in France means choosing between platforms that split their fees differently: some charge the seller, some the buyer, some both. This comparison covers Whatnot, Voggt, eBay, Vinted, Cardmarket and Blisterr. It relies only on the platforms’ own public pages, checked on October 5, 2026, and this panel is not exhaustive.
A note on bias: Blisterr publishes this article, so we have a stake in it. We cite every source so you can check everything yourself.
What the public pages say (checked on October 5, 2026)
| Platform | Seller-side fees | Buyer-side fees |
|---|---|---|
| Blisterr | 0% seller commission, no listing fees | Buyer protection fee: 6.9% of the item price (shipping excluded) + €0.49, with the flat fee charged only once per order with the same seller |
| eBay.fr, private seller (address in the EEA) | No commission on the final price and no regulatory operating fees; 150 free listings per month, then €0.35 per listing | Buyer Protection fee since September 1, 2026 (private seller with an address in France or Italy): €0.10 per item + 7% of the price up to €20 + 4% from €20.01 to €300 + 2% from €300.01 to €4,000 |
| eBay.fr, business seller, “Jeux de cartes à collectionner” category (collectible card games) | 9% on the part of the price up to €990, 2% above; €0.35 per order; regulatory operating fees of 0.35% | Buyer Protection included at no charge |
| Whatnot (France, trading cards) | 4.00% commission + VAT since September 21, 2026, on the item price excluding shipping and taxes; payment processing 2.42% + €0.25 + VAT, calculated on the total paid by the buyer | No buyer fee listed on the pages we read |
| Voggt | 8.9% incl. VAT + €0.30 per sale (6% excl. VAT for professionals), secondary source (see the note below) | 0% |
| Vinted | No seller commission (optional paid visibility services) | Buyer Protection fee “generally 5% + €0.70” (variable), for purchases from non-professional sellers |
| Cardmarket | 5% per item sold (private and professional sellers), rounded up to the next cent, capped at €100 per item | Optional Trustee service, fee varying with the order value (schedule not recorded here) |
These fees may change. Withdrawal or payout fees are not included in this table, either for Blisterr or for the other platforms.
A note on Voggt. The Voggt figures come from a secondary source (vitepromo.com, verified on September 25, 2026). They are given for information only and we do not use them in the calculation below.
A note on Cardmarket. The 5% rate is the one on Cardmarket’s official fee page; as the page could not be read directly when we checked (anti-bot challenge), we took it from an excerpt of that page.

Worked example: a €50 item
Assumptions: an item sold for €50, excluding shipping, by a private seller unless stated otherwise, excluding paid options and withdrawal fees. The amounts are Blisterr’s own calculation from the schedules above, as of October 5, 2026.
| Platform | Seller receives | Buyer pays |
|---|---|---|
| Blisterr | €50.00 | €53.94 |
| eBay.fr, private seller (EEA) | €50.00 | €52.70 |
| eBay.fr, business seller (cards) | ≈ €44.98 | €50.00 |
| Whatnot, trading cards | ≈ €45.85 | €50.00 |
| Vinted | €50.00 | ≈ €53.20 |
| Cardmarket | €47.50 | €50.00 (excluding Trustee) |
How the figures are calculated:
- Blisterr: buyer fee of 6.9% × €50 = €3.45, plus €0.49, i.e. €3.94.
- eBay.fr private seller: €0.10 + 7% of the first €20 (€1.40) + 4% of the next €30 (€1.20) = €2.70, paid by the buyer.
- eBay.fr business seller: 9% × €50 = €4.50, plus €0.35 per order, plus 0.35% × €50 = €0.175 in regulatory fees.
- Whatnot: commission of €2.00 (4% × €50) + payment processing of €1.46 (2.42% × €50 + €0.25), plus 20% VAT on those fees, with no shipping.
- Vinted: 5% × €50 + €0.70 = €3.20. Vinted states that these fees are “generally” at this level, so the actual amount can vary.
- Cardmarket: 5% × €50 = €2.50.
Each platform splits its fees differently: on Blisterr, the seller pays no commission and the fees fall on the buyer (6.9% + €0.49). The gap between the two columns is the combined fees. Depending on whether you sell or buy, the order of the platforms changes: compare the total cost, seller plus buyer, not just one side.
Sales formats: Live, Peek and beyond
Live shopping is not specific to one platform: Whatnot and Voggt (described by Fanatics as a European live commerce platform) offer it, and eBay announced the launch of eBay Live in France on January 30, 2026 (CB News).
On Blisterr, selling happens in Live and in Peek. A Peek is a short vertical video (60 seconds maximum) tied to an item in the catalog and available to buy in one tap; other platforms also offer short videos, such as Whatnot’s clips, and we are describing how the Peek works on Blisterr, not claiming exclusivity.
Blisterr offers five sales formats (details on the Formats page):
- Instant buy: the price is fixed, you buy at the listed amount.
- Classic auction: the price goes up, bids are visible, and the highest bidder at the end wins. Automatic bidding up to a maximum amount is possible.
- Silent auction: bids are hidden, and the best bid wins at the end.
- Drop (Dutch auction): the price drops automatically from a starting price to a floor price, and the first buyer to click Buy wins the item.
- Giveaway: a free prize draw among eligible participants (everyone, the shop’s followers or its past buyers, chosen by the seller). Delivery is paid by the seller.
In a Live, a bid placed in the last 15 seconds extends the countdown to 15 seconds (up to 1 hour per lot). Peek auctions end at the displayed time.
Seller verification
On Blisterr, a seller submits an application (private or professional profile, categories, social media links, an introduction video), goes through Stripe identity verification, and then our team reviews the file manually. No approval time is guaranteed.
We don’t compare this criterion with other platforms: we did not find a comparable public source.
Buyer protection: what the public pages say
On Blisterr, protection rests on a contractual 30-day commitment (article 9.2 of the terms of sale) for three cases: item not received, item materially different from the description, proven counterfeit. If the seller doesn’t help, you contact our team by email at support@blisterr.com or on Discord; if a refund is decided, it is credited to your wallet. The full process is covered in our article on buyer protection.
What the other platforms state publicly:
- eBay.fr: Buyer Protection fees paid by the buyer for purchases from private sellers (see the table), and a claim possible within 30 days of delivery.
- Whatnot: a request to file no later than 30 days after purchase or 14 days after delivery, whichever comes first, and a 14-day withdrawal right in the European Union.
- Vinted: Buyer Protection fees paid by the buyer, for purchases from non-professional sellers.
Seller payouts and withdrawals on Blisterr
On Blisterr, the seller’s wallet is credited no later than 20 days after delivery. Withdrawing to a bank account is free once every 40 days, then costs 3% + €1 per withdrawal; the estimated timing shown in the app is 2 to 3 business days. Details are in our article on the wallet. We did not find comparable public data on payout timing for the other platforms.
Company and hosting
Blisterr is a French company based in Bayonne (Blisterr SAS, RCS Bayonne 918 924 556). Platform data is hosted in France (OVH). Lives are streamed from temporary servers hosted in Germany (Hetzner).
Voggt is a French company, part of the US group Fanatics since October 2024: its assets were acquired by Fanatics Live on October 3, 2024, with the brand and teams retained (Fanatics press release of October 3, 2024).
Conclusion: which platform is right for you?
No platform is best for everyone: it depends on what you sell, to whom, and who bears the fees.
- If you sell regularly: look at what you receive and what your buyer pays in the example above, then add withdrawal fees. On Blisterr, the seller pays no commission; see Fees and Sell on Blisterr.
- If you buy: compare the total you pay and the protection included. On Blisterr, buyer protection comes with a fee of 6.9% + €0.49, shown before payment.
- If you want live or short video: discover Blisterr’s Live and Peek, or browse Pokémon cards.
